EPA Lead-Safe Certified RRP Course for Contractors and Inspectors

The recent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) lead renovation, repair and painting (RRP) rules took effect April 22, 2010 can be very confusing for reconstruction contractors and other suppliers and trades which operate on the housing before 1978. To help better understand they need to become a certified renovator of lead and no, that breaks the most important information you need to know about the Chief being certified and EPA regulations of lead paint.

Door installers, painters, window installers, insulation contractors, siding contractors, electricians, plumbers and other contractors acting on pre-1978 housing, where there is a risk of disturbing lead paint or lead-based dirt will have to take courses for Lead Safety certification. Under the rule, facilities are occupied by child described as residential buildings, commercial or public where children under six years are present on a regular basis.
